custo med - Product Lineup

I transformed raw CAD models into high-fidelity visuals for custo med’s digital relaunch, prioritizing a modern, sterile aesthetic.
My role involved full look development and optimization for high-detail close-ups and animation.

The primary objective was to align the 3D output with the company's clinical precision and engineering standards. I balanced premium visual appeal with brand authenticity.

To communicate reliability, I utilized slow, deliberate camera movements and a cohesive lighting style.
The resulting assets are used across internal communications and global digital showcases.

custo cardio 300

This was our first project together and served as the pilot for the series.
The main challenge was the frosted glass shader and the LED ring. I went through several iterations to make sure the digital light and materials matched the real product exactly. The goal was total accuracy and this project set the standard for the rest of the lineup.

custo cardio 400

As the "big brother" to the 300, the cardio 400 was the most challenging part of the lineup due to its size and mounted stand.
Because of its large dimensions, I had to test various animation systems and camera paths to showcase the entire unit from steep angles without losing focus or distracting the viewer.

A major focus was the LED system. I worked to ensure the lighting was temporally consistent, meaning the light transitions remained smooth and stable throughout the animation without any flickering or interpolation issues.

custo spiro mobile

For this device, the goal was a clean assembly animation.
I developed a simplified "explosion" shot that builds the product during the Animation, showcasing selected internal components without cluttering the frame. I focused heavily on the visual haptics of the click mechanism, ensuring the retraction and protraction felt tactile and realistic.

The client needed more flexibility with the cable length for the animation. To solve this without sacrificing detail, I rendered the project in a vertical aspect ratio.
This provided extra "safe areas" for the cable, allowing the client to crop or adjust the framing in post-production for different platforms without losing visual quality.

custo guard holter

The guard holter presented a unique lighting challenge: two LEDs positioned beneath a translucent plastic shell. I explored several techniques to ensure the lights remained invisible when inactive, but appeared sharp and realistic when powered on, exactly matching the physical device’s behavior.

Achieving the final look for the still renders required a highly iterative approach, particularly for the back of the device. The metal electrodes created complex reflections that were difficult to balance. I utilized a multipass rendering workflow to fine-tune the shiny and reflective surfaces, ensuring a perfect, clinical finish.

300 | 310

For the custo screen series, we explored several creative directions before deciding on a more restrained, minimalist animation style.
This was a strategic choice to ensure the project matched the visual language of the rest of the product lineup. I focused on a slow, professional rotation that highlights the device's form while maintaining precise control over the surface reflections to keep the look clean and high-end.
